My oh my, what another amazing trip to Bali, it really does hold a special place in my heart. Our visit was completely different form previous, returning as a family was very different but equally as amazing.
It’s been such a long winter here in Scotland, as you can imagine I was desperate to take my little one to the sunshine. It’s been too long since he’s been able to run around with his chunky legs and baby soft skin in the sunshine, it felt so nice.
When planning the trip I got super excited to piece together and shop for outfits for my little one. Since Alfie was born, my go to for all occasions has been ChildrenSalon. With over 270 brands ranging from traditional wear to modern day designer wear, they have all my (his) wardrobe essentials covered. I love that the boutique is so vast in what they offer however they make shopping with them feel so very personal, which is hard to come by online these days.
Now that Alfie is getting that little bit older I do all of my shopping online ( often on my phone app). I’m not sure about you Mama’s but the thought of high street shopping for a toddler with a toddler is my idea of hell. When shopping online I don’t ask for much, a pleasant experience for me is friendly and helpful customer service and a selection of beautiful clothes to choose from. Childrensalon is that and so much more, in my opinion they are the best (and most loved by me) children shop in the world.
So what am I loving this summer? Bloomers and two piece sets are my must have’s. I tend to sway more towards neutral and soft tones when shopping for Alfie and for our Bali trip (where the humidity was crazy), I went for lightweight cotton and linen pieces.
More often than not my little one wandered barefoot throughout the holiday. Unlike his Mama we packed light on footwear. Since Alfie found his feet I’ve been a huge Tip Toe Joey fan. Comfort and practicality is key for those precious little toes. I love the that the soft leather is delicate enough to not rub however sturdy enough to protect his feet. The velcro strap and rubber grip sole is a must for any toddler, they are also super stylish and worked perfectly with every outfit.
I’m also extremely happy we discovered the Aqua Shoes just in time for our trip. An absolute must for little people wandering (or in our case, running) poolside. We also used these in the sea and for walks on the beach, a holiday must have if you ask me.
Sun hats are another must however believe me, there is such a thing as the right hat for your baby. The younger and less likely they are to pull off their hat, allows gorgeous floppy sunhats. Alfie however is now well aware of what I place on his head and unfortunately he doesn’t negotiate very willingly, meaning I place it on, he pulls it off. Thankfully he loved this Mini Rodini sunhat. The rim is perfect for shading his face but not too floppy for him to even notice and it has ties underneath his chin to make pulling it off less likely to happen, (mum hack right here).
For this trip I’ve planned Alfie’s clothing to be fuss free with a sweet and charming feel. I’ve loved dressing him this holiday, those chunky legs and that little sun kissed nose, I know I’m biased but I think he’s just adorable.
Now let me figure out how I bring this glorious sunshine back to the UK, there is no way I’m packing these outfits away until next time, bring on summer.
As Always Thank You and Hope To See You Again Soon.
